Ceramic Frame Mirror in Blue, Red, Black & Gold, Belgium 1960

Sold out

Convex mirror framed by ceramic tiles in red, blue, gold and black. Made in Belgium in the 1960s. Mixing Gothic modernism and Flemish style, this mirror seems to come right out of a Dutch painting or a 1970s psyche/sci-fi comic book. The deep black ceramic cup bearing the mirror and the tiles together offers a matte light-absorbing plate that highlights the glossy red and blue tiles, and alternating gold tiles with copper reflections. Measures: Frame Ø 8.5 inches x depth 2 inches. Mirror alone Ø 5.75.
