Memphis In Memphis, 1985 Exhibition Poster Framed

Poster designed by Eddie Tucker for the Memphis Group exhibition "Memphis in Memphis" at Memphis Brooks Museum of Art from November 18th 1984 to February 3rd 1985.

Eddie Tucker portrayed the iconic "Bel Air" armchair designed by Peter Shire for the Memphis Group. A wonderful American welcome message for the Memphis Group wave. Fantastic type font play interstices with disruptive geometric color shapes arranged with the best taste. The abstract post-modern figure sitting on the Bel Air armchair seems to have his green hair and his tie blown away by the mesmerizing sensations brought by Ettore Sottsass and his acolytes.
