Oscar Torlasco was an Italian lighting designer. Oscar Torlasco won the 1959 Compasso d’Oro for street lighting, and he designed lighting for Lumi and Stilkronen. Very little is currently known about Oscar Torlasco, apart for his amazing style, an organic and antique-ish combination. Elegant, avant-garde and classic.

Lumi is an Italian lighting company founded in 1944. Lumi is known for their excellence in handmade work with the best raw materials and an unprecedented precision in lighting. In the 1950s and 1960s, only the most important names like Gio Ponti and Oscar Torlasco were designing for Lumi.
